– Origin prices remain stable with some sporadic but temporary weaker pricing coming from Vietnamese processors who are under variable pressure to sell for cash.
– Hurricane Irma was so strong that it managed to destroy many pecan plantations completely and caused a lot of crop damage elsewhere. As a consequence, prices have firmed.
– Despite some delays experienced in early new crop shipments, the general consensus is that the new crop itself looks like another strong production in Bulgaria, which will hopefully be a match for existing and even growing demand.
